A 16Mp Nikon DX sensor in a compact body with a 18.5mm f/2.8 lens (28mm equivalent). This is what Nikon is introducing in 2013, March.
Sony has already released a full frame compact camera , the , the Fuji X100 has already been awarded for the best compact camera in 2012 with a similar sensor size in a nicer body, so what to say, wake up Nikon, you’re in huge delay.
The D7100, Nikon D7000 replacement has been announced
Nikon just announced the Nikon D7100 DLSR camera, the replacement for the Nikon D7000 with NO Anti Aliasing filter!
The price is going to be very competitive, like 1190USD and the expected shipment is March,21th.
Here’s the official final tech specs of the camera:
- 24.1MP DX-format CMOS Sensor
- EXPEED 3 Image Processing Engine
- 1080p Full HD Video Capture
- 3.2″ 1,229k-dot LCD Monitor
- Optical Viewfinder with OLED Display
- 6 fps Up to 100 Shots at Full Resolution
- 51-point AF with 15 Cross-type Sensors
- Built-in High Dynamic Range
This camera will probably be even better than the D7000, setting a new standard for a DX DSLR camera, but I suggest as usual to skip this cropped sensor camera and look for a full frame one instead. My reason here.
